Hi people.
Just to let you all know, people who are NOT in AV are not allowed into the AV control rooms. So please don't host a "bring your friends" party! The only time they'll be allowed in is during functions, when they're like AV reps and stuff for performing groups or whatever. They tell us what to do, maybe sit through for their item, and get out. :)
Tell your friends that our AV control rooms are delightfully elitist and entry is only for members of the oh-so-great AV clique. Unless they're losers, then don't tell them the AV clique part. They might want to join. D:
We'll be getting a combination lock soon, though :D

EH PEOPLE WHY NEVER POST HUH.
Okay anyway our batch blog is super outdated. I just checked it, and it still says "Sec 2 batch". We're not Sec 2s anymore! D:
In fact, we're now UPPER SEC :) And now we get sucky assembly timeslots :/ And no more sneaking up to the control room when it's not your duty, sigh.
Oh but anyway I have eggciting news for you all! We have a new system (if you haven't already noticed by now) and it is oh-so-cool. Especially now that we have a better understanding of all the little knobs and buttons and whatnots! Squee!
Not to mention new lights! We have a splendid new lightboard too, and the SLI people were the first to play with it :) If you were present during one of the rehearsals, you might have noticed the stage lighting up red or turquoise or purple and random lights coming on. THAT WAS US. :)
Founders' Day people were the first to play with the sound system, hee. So since the people who turned up for the so-called Upper Sec Training were basically the Founders' Day people + Xinyuan, most of it was spent getting Xinyuan up to speed and then listening to Mr Lee's stories.
We (That is, the Founders' Day people + Xinyuan) will most probably be conducting a training plus orientation for new members pretty soon, so watch out for that! (: GM dates have yet to be confirmed (sigh) but EXCO meeting's this Wednesday, so it'll most probably be confirmed then and I'll let yall know! :D

Omg for one scary moment I thought Xinyuan wrote that sentence down there. Then I collected myself and thought maybe Denise was on crack.
Finally, I checked and realised it was Vic.

Anyway, how big are the stage lights? Can they kill people if dropped from a height? Because my mum might not let me do functions (or at least force me to stay away from backstage duty) until the school gets new lights.

Hello dearies!
Victoria here, and I'm gonna give you all good news:
1. We ARE most probably going to get the money to revamp our school's dusty system, but how much remains to be seen. However, we are most definitely going to get new speakers for the hall. Yay!
2. RGAVPA has taken posession of the recording studio on the 4th floor, which all the other clubs have denied ownership of. So it's ours, and hell yeah it's super cool. To get to this supercool studio of ours, get to the 4th floor. It's the room that says "studio" near the lift. Don't confuse it with the darkroom, which is most obviously photog's.
Oh and please be careful when walking around on stage in the hall. According to Cheryl, one of the stage lights fell off the other day, narrowly missing someone. We'll probably be getting them replaced soon, but in the meantime PLEASE be cautious. We don't want the already tiny Sec 2 batch 08 to shrink even more ):

I have good news for all of you muahahhaa.
According to Mr TJ Lee, we are going to be inconviniencing the badminton and table tennis noobs one of these days, because.....

...okay, you can stop cheering now.
Anyway, he is badgering the school for $100, 000 so that we can revamp our system. So maybe you could think of 101 things you hate about the school system, and get him to film it down so he can show the principals and all that. Yayyay.
Also if your daddy is really, really rich, maybe you could ask him to sponsor our tentative nationwide AV camp, jointly organised by ACS(i). So, like, I dunno, if you're related to the famiLee (that is, the imba rich family that happens to be governing our country. Read talkingcock.com! It owns!) maybe you could ask them to sponsor us or something. Because RGS is spending money on it's top secret project which will be unveiled on Monday, and has something to do with the containers on the tracks.
